Bringing a Croatian island experience to life online
IE created an immersive destination website to show the idyllic island of Obonjan at its best.
IE has just launched the new website for Obonjan, an idyllic holiday destination that’s been attracting lots of buzz ever since festival promoter Sound Channel leased the island of Obonjan last summer.
Obonjan is a unique island experience that combines creativity, wellbeing, music and partying, all in a beautiful, ecofriendly location.
With the island itself still under construction, Obonjan turned to IE to create a compelling, immersive new destination website to whet the appetite of the first wave of pioneering visitors – set to shape the experience in its maiden year. The tone was critical – with potential visitors needing to feel like they’d metaphorically dipped their toes into the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea.
IE expertly assembled a bespoke site in a tight timeframe and budget by applying our award-winning design flair on top of carefully curated WordPress components. This approach allowed us to quickly design a prototype site in-browser for the Obonjan team to approve, before fully populating with content. So, the client could see their new responsive site emerge in real-time as the build progressed.
We’ve also embedded interactive maps, full-screen video, and 3D photorealistic video renders to capture the spirit of the experience, to bring the destination to life online.
